Dear ACAMIS School Heads,
In September 2007 the ACAMIS Board granted the Executive Officer, Sue Arnold leave of absence for 9 months as her husband had to relocate to Canada. The Board felt that due to Sue's outstanding service, her desire to remain in the job and the probability she may be returning to China very soon it was reasonable to offer her leave and appoint an interim for 9 months.. To safegaurd the organization Sue had to inform the Board by May 2008 if she would be able to return to the position.
Sue informed the Board on the 15th of May that she would not be returning to China in the short term and therefore would unfortunately have to resign her position.
While Sue has been on leave Amelia Ren-Hayden has assumed the role as an interim and will continue in that role until June 30th 2008. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Sue and her very capable replacement Amelia for their dedicated service to the Association.
The ACAMIS Board would now wish to invite suitable and interested candidates for the Executive Officer position to submit letters of interest and resumes directly to me (Andy.PageSmith@hkacademy.edu.hk) no later than the 6th of June 2008.
I seek school heads assistance to distribute this announcement to any possible candidates recognizing that the time frame is limited, however, the Board believes it is important to proceed with its original intention and open up this position.
Please note this is currently a 50% of a fulltime position (approx. 20 hours per week) which can be based in any major city in China. It will be a 12 month appointment starting on the 1st of July 2008. Please click here to get a full job descriptor.
For further information please contact me directly. I thank you for your assitance.
Andy
