ACAMIS Service Awards

Recognize and support initiative and excellence in service related activities, providing financial support to initiate or maintain projects that address legitimate community needs in the ACAMIS host countries, China and Mongolia.

Criteria
Awards are presented to students enrolled in ACAMIS member schools whose service project best satisfies the following criteria.
  1. The project must have the written support of the Head/Principal of the school.
  2. Sound evidence is provided that the project is meeting or will meet a legitimate community need and create a lasting and positive effect for the recipient(s).
  3. The project must be student-initiated with clearly stated objectives.
  4. The aim must be to see the project through to the realization of all its objectives no matter how long this takes.
  5. The project should have clearly identified learning outcomes for the students concerned.
  6. The project must be fiscally responsible with one hundred percent of the Award directed towards the identified recipient(s).
Application
Please forward the proposal with the application form in a PDF document to the ACAMIS Executive Officer ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) not later than 20 April, 2013 for submission to the Board.

The proposal should not exceed 500 words, but may include supplementary and supporting evidence or documentation.

The submission should include a clear and concise explanation of how the funds will be applied in addressing the identified need, with no amount used for travel, expenses, or administrative costs of the service providers.

Board members will evaluate proposals and select recipients of the Award during their May meeting.
 
The maximum amount of each Award is USD 2,500 and there is no limit to the number of Awards that may be made.
