ACAMIS Technology Conference
October 15-16, 2022
The British School of Beijing, Shunyi
Theme: Empower Learning
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the ACAMIS Technology Conference
at The British School of Beijing, Shunyi. The conference is designed to be professional development for teachers by teachers. The focus will be on making the conference relevant to our context, easily accessible and immediately applicable. The aim is that technology presented at the conference can be used within mainland China without a VPN. You may present yourself or if you wish you are welcome to apply to co-present with one or two other teachers.
Safety of our conference participants is our greatest concern. While we expect some travel restrictions may remain in place, we are all in need of interaction with our peers, so we have planned this as a live onsite conference. We prefer accepting presentation submissions from those who are able to attend and present live at the conference. However, if travel restrictions remain in place before the conference, virtual presentations will be considered. So if you make a submission and it is approved you should expect to attend the live onsite conference, but if due to travel restrictions you cannot attend, then you commit to presenting virtually to the conference if required.
Conference Theme: Empower Learning
Learning is the spark that leads to knowledge and understanding, character development, new ideas and global impact. As educators we have the privilege of experiencing first-hand the exciting journey our students take as they struggle through problems, collaborate with peers, marvel at their own creations and share their innovations with others. We have all experienced a great deal globally these past 2 years, and we are excited to connect as a community to hear powerful voices of courage, resilience, growth and development, as well as leadership. This year, at the ACAMIS Technology conference we will showcase a mosaic of voices across our region, sharing their stories to Empower Learning.
We are seeking peer presentation proposals that have a clear link to aspects of this theme.
