Participants will complete the DiSC Workplace Behavioral Survey prior to the online program. Participants’ customized Behavioral Profile reports will be reviewed in the online program and referred to throughout the online program as a tool for developing greater awareness about self and other.

In order to motivate and influence our teams, we need to understand ourselves and how our priorities affect others. Influence is not about being pushy. Influence is about looking at the problem from the other person’s perspective and then explaining your own views in order to influence their decisions. If you want to be influential you need to be able to understand yourself and your reactions as well as understand other people’s perceptions.

The DISC model groups four common behavioral patterns found universally in all people on earth. This simple four quadrant model is used to articulate the common ways that all human beings tend to act and communicate.

Module 1:  Intercultural Communications 
This session introduces the foundational elements of intercultural communications. Business managers and department heads spend a great deal of their time communicating with parents and academic administrators from different cultural backgrounds. Participants will discover strategies in connecting with people, especially in a school environment where diversity is a norm.

Module 2:  Intercultural Leadership - DiSC
60-80% of all organizational problems result from a clash of values, personalities, communication, and/or working styles. DISC™ will help you understand how personality type and cultural background influence all four challenges, as well as WHAT, HOW, and WHY people act, feel, and think so differently, and how to turn those differences into synergy instead of a painful liability.

Module 3:  Servant Leadership
There are many resources about leadership. Many speakers have touched on the topic. In this module, the facilitator will introduce a different leadership role model. This model is to lead at a higher level. It is called Servant Leadership. It is a kind of leadership that will obtain high results and win your direct reports and/or foreign colleagues' respect.  This kind of leader serves rather than self-serves.  
Participants will read and discuss the first four chapters of The Secret: What Great Leaders Know and Do. It is an easy read. It is written in a form of a story.

Module 4:  Thriving in the International School Environment
Working in an international school is different from working in a company or even a local school. International schools have their unique characteristics. Fitting in can be a challenge. This module also discusses what school employees can do to perform well in their roles in international schools.
Participants will learn about the desirable characteristics of a local support staff working in an international school and identify practices to work well with foreign colleagues and parents effectively.

Module 5:  Job A-Like
Participants will be surveyed in advance of the workshop to identify topics related to working with and managing a culturally and generationally diverse workforce. Popular topics will be explored in greater depth in break-out rooms where participants will engage in peer-led discussions.
This module will provide participants an opportunity to network with each other and exchange information and ideas.
