Building an Effective Language Policy - Lessons from across the World
Policy making is usually seen as a process that only individuals in leadership positions participate in. This session will discuss how teachers can play a direct role in the creation, modification and implementatoin of policies.

Best practices from around the world will be presented to help guide successful implementation of a language policy within each school’s unique context.

We will unpack terms like ‘language of inclusion’, ‘translanguaging’ and ‘additive bilingualism’, to discuss what this could look like across a school, and how it can be communicated well to all stakeholders.
