Addie Loy is an Educator from Detroit, Michigan who has worked in China for 10 years in administration. She received her undergraduate degree in teaching with an emphasis in social sciences from Eastern Kentucky University, holds a master’s degree in Teaching, with a focus English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Western Governor’s University in Utah. She completed the advanced leadership program through Harvard and is working on her Ed.D in strategic planning. Her passion is to promote a shared vision and to create school-wide systems that work.
What is international about international schools?
This workshop will review current research on the classification and characteristics of international education as seen by educational researchers. Within this workshop, participants will develop an understanding of legitimization through exploring how institutions can work to achieve legitimacy through improvement planning.
