Kate Jin has 20 years’ experience in education, including 17 years in international schools, with a focus in HR and Operations. Kate started her career as a teacher, and then switched to non-academic areas. She has been working in international education groups such as Dulwich, UWC, OCAC, and EtonHouse. She was founding members of quite a number of new schools in these groups. Kate understands in depth about new school set-up, HR, operations, and admissions.
How could HR Support the School Development Better?
School HR/Group HR need to grow from an HR Admin role (recruiting, payroll, visa, etc.) into a much more strategic role. Be proactive, have a thorough understanding of education, to work from culture, values perspective to support the school development.
HR department is a department full of resources. By making better use of the resources, including the HR department itself, the school is much better supported. This is value-added.
