Betsy Verb has 20+ years in education teaching students from Pre-K level up to adults in college. Her focus at work is on taking technology and helping teachers to optimize the use of technology to move towards innovative thinking and problem-solving. Using technology as a tool to enhance creative and critical thinking skills, with the goal of preparing students to assist in solving real-world problems for the future.

Establishing an Innovative Technology Culture using Design Thinking (Onsite at NCPA only)
In this session, participants will take technology and apply various aspects of innovation and design thinking into the curriculum. We will explore using materials as simple as paper and Xacto knives to newer technologies like laser cutters and how students can take these tools and blend a healthy balance between screen time technology and experiential learning while still developing creative and critical thinking skills using the design thinking process.
