Marcella Cooper & Jordan Rhea
Jordan Rhea was trained to be a teacher but am currently acting as a web developer. After earning several English degrees in Virginia, he discovered he was less interested in spoken languages and more in the ones interpreted by machines. Now he tries and automates, manipulates, and expatiates the data that schools collect in all aspects of daily operation.
Currently teaching in China, Marcella began her career in her home country, Canada. Since then, she has also taught IB in Thailand (where she picked up a love of Thai cooking) and Japan (where she picked up a love of the Japanese language). Marcella strives to be a life-long learner, whether that’s learning a new language, cooking new food, or reviewing current pedagogical research.
Innovative Ways to Reflect
In this interactive session, participants will explore several technological approaches to reflection for academic, personal, and professional purposes. Using Sway as the foundation of this hands-on workshop and innovatively using accessible programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms, and Canva, participants will be exposed to ideas on elevating the process of reflecting, promoting the ease and comfort of sharing thoughts with peers and teachers, as well as deepening the overall reflection experience.
