Sias International School
Saturday, March 15, 2025

Competition Overview

Sias International School (Sias lS), where East meets West, inspires students to be well- balanced with a strong mind, body, and spirit, prepared for academic excellence and innovative leadership in an ever-advancing, interconnected, and technological world. Sias lS invites all ACAMIS member schools to participate in its inaugural Middle School Math Olympiad Competition.

ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools) Academic and Cultural Enrichment (ACE) programs allow students to expand their learning beyond the classroom. These initiatives include a range of academic competitions, cultural exchanges, and collaborative projects designed to enhance intellectual and personal growth. Students develop critical thinking, creativity, cultural awareness, and teamwork skills by engaging in these activities, helping them become well- rounded individuals in a globalized world.

  1. While competitive, the Middle School Math Olympiad aims to challenge students, relationships, exchange educational practices, and promote mathematics. As this is our first Olympiad, it will be a one-day event featuring individual and team rounds.
  2. The Math’s Challenges cover various mathematical topics such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. Algebra, Functions, Counting, Number Theory, Geometry and Trigonometry, Vectors, Statistics and Probability, and Calculus.
  3. They are designed to test problem-solving skills and creativity rather than specific mathematical knowledge.
