ACAMIS (Association of Chinese and Mongolian International Schools) held its first Vex Robotics Championship at CISGZ from April 19th through 21st hosted by Canadian International School, Guangzhou (CISGZ). Over 200 Students from 58 teams competed in three levels of Vex Competition in a weekend of exhilaration and delight, brimming with awe-inspiring robot creations, mind-boggling programming feats, and pure FUN!

Our youngest roboteers competed in the Vex Go Mars Math Expedition. In this exhilarating challenge, our young innovators designed, built, and programmed their VEX GO robots to tackle a series of Mars-themed missions.

Our middle group competed in the Vex IQ Robotics Competition—Full Volume. Students worked in cooperative pairs in a sorting game, focusing on optimization. These students coded autonomous routines and built robots from plastic parts.

Lastly, our most seasoned students engaged in a fierce battle of metal in the Vex Robotics Competition—Over Under. This adrenaline-pumping 2v2 game saw alliances compete in a full-contact soccer-like match with 40+ triballs. The game's climax was the climb, where they had to scale the arena for a last-second chance at points.
