Photography Competition - CISGZ 2027

Photography Competition

September 24, 2026 - January 8, 2027

Canadian International School of Guangzhou

This online photography competition is open to Grade 6–12 students from all ACAMIS schools. Inspired by Duane Michals’ quote, “Photography to me is a matter of thinking rather than looking; it’s a revelation, not description,” students will explore conceptual photography by creating original photographs that communicate an idea, message, emotion, question, or story beyond what is simply visible. The competition aims to celebrate student creativity, encourage thoughtful artistic expression, and provide students with an opportunity to share their unique creative perspectives with the wider ACAMIS community. Submissions will be showcased and reviewed through an online platform, allowing for broad participation and engagement.
