On Saturday, January 17, a full-day Writers’ Workshop brought together 53 student writers for an immersive program focused on developing original work and strengthening writing craft. It was a magical afternoon to witness the creative processes of turning ideas into words and words into artistry within one day! Students focused on one of three parallel strands—Poetry, Short Story, and Graphic Novel—each led by an experienced facilitator, with sessions designed to help writers generate ideas, experiment with technique, and refine drafts through targeted feedback.

The day concluded with a celebratory sharing of student writing, where participants presented their work to peers and teachers and poets performed their work under the guidance of Australian poet Luka Lesson. All students were recognized for their commitment and progress. In the words of Mr Lesson, “your pen is a sword!”
