ACAMIS Photography Competition 2026

ACAMIS Photography Competition

Photography-Competition

“Photography is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
– Dorothea Lange

This year’s theme invites students to express the power of perception by seeing beyond the obvious and telling stories through their lenses. Like Dorothea Lange's work, student photographs can challenge, provoke, and reveal hidden truths in the world. This experience will allow students to develop visual storytelling skills, enhance creativity, and learn to see the world from different perspectives.

Students will have the opportunity to use various photographic techniques and tools, fostering problem-solving and technical skills. They can express themselves across genres such as landscapes, street scenes, portraits, macro, or unusual perspectives. Photography mediums to explore include cyanotype, analogue, digital, or photo manipulation, creating images that inspire others to see differently and reflect the student's unique perspective.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the schools that participated in the 1st Annual ACAMIS Photography Competition. Your enthusiastic involvement and commitment to visual storytelling helped make this inaugural competition a meaningful celebration of student creativity, perspective, and voice.

We are inspired by the diverse interpretations and thoughtful work submitted by students across our community. Selected student works will be featured here soon—stay tuned as we showcase these powerful images and the stories behind them.
